As of August 2026, QuickBooks Online Essentials is $85 a month, Plus is $140 and Advanced is $340. A Plus subscriber now pays $1,680 a year for software that still expects them to categorize every transaction.

Why it keeps happening

Intuit has raised QuickBooks Online prices in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. Each letter says the same thing about investing in new features. The feature most people want, someone else doing the categorizing, still costs extra: a bookkeeper, or QuickBooks Live at hundreds of dollars a month.
