Questions, answered
Do you store my bank login?
No. ProfitBooks never asks for bank credentials. It reads the statements you upload.
Who can see my documents?
You and the people you invite. Support staff access a business only with your permission, for a specific request, and every access is logged.
Is my data used to train AI for other customers?
Your documents, transactions and anything that identifies you are never shared with other customers and never sold. Your corrections train the model for your business. We use de-identified, aggregated data (for example, how businesses in an industry categorize a vendor) to improve categorization for everyone, and we never attempt to re-identify it. Details in the Privacy Policy.
Can I delete everything?
Yes. Delete your business from settings and all documents, transactions and reports are removed from active systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days, except billing records we must keep by law. Export first if you want a copy.
